let us love.

I'm sitting at Seeds Coffee, this amazing new coffee shop in town. completely non-profit and really connected with other farmers across the world. They have one main goal, do justice, love mercy, walk humbly (Micah 6:8).

"Roasting coffee is a process that begins on remote farms across the globe and ends in a single cup of coffee at the local cafĂ©. In other words, coffee is from the nations to the nations." It's so cool that something as simple as coffee can be universal and go from nation to nation. God is just THAT big.

As I sit here thinking about the tragedy that happened in Boston yesterday, I can't help but notice this sweet man from South America who is going from person to person trying to learn more English. He was trying to figure out how to say "snore" and the difference in "snore" and "snoring".. made me smile. He wanted to tell his roommate that he was snoring last night. hahaa. so perfect. Now he is outside trying to learn how to play frisbee with his roommate and friend. The frisbee hits the ground almost every time but he is not giving up. He finally successfully catches the frisbee and they all cheer!

Despite all the pain and horrible events that occur all around the world, I still see so much good in this world. The world still needs SO much of Jesus but if you keep your eyes wide open, you could see a little glimpse of the goodness and know there is hope. The Lord gives us hope and we have that to cling to.

Romans 12:12 "Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer."

Let us actively pray for the nations. The most powerful thing we can do is pray. The Lord is in control.. he's got this. But he does ask us to stay in constant prayer and to do what we can do. Hope in Him, trust in Him, call on His name. In the meantime, reflect on the goodness that you see everyday. Because that comes from the Lord too. : )

And that's all I have.

Verse of the day that I thought fit perfectly..

1 John 4:7-8
Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who has love has been born of God and knows God. Whoever does not love does not know God, because God. Is. Love.
