it's been almost 2 weeks!

woooow. i've been at the YWAM base here in Kona, Hawaii for almost 2 weeks now.
and there are simply no words to adequately describe how amazing this experience has been.
and man, i love my team! we are literally a big, fat, happy family. it makes me so happy!
if it's only the 3rd week i can't even imagine how much better it's going to get! and man, it's flying by. insane.
Jesus has revealed to me so much that i have to work on. so much change of heart and attitude needs to happen but i'm ready to surrender it ALL to Him and work on everything as a day by day process! i'm so excited for what is to come!

i won't lie, i have gotten kinda homesick. but yesterday i got to talk to mom and i felt tons better. don't you just love moms! : )
she always brings me back to reality and fills me with so much advice and truth. as most of you know, i tend to freak out with anxiety.. a lot. (i'm workin' on that too!) and my dad! dang, i got more advice from him that probably ever before! such a good fatherrrr!

i don't even know where to start. i feel like i have so much to say that i can't say it all. we'll start with these week. today all the DTS's heard from the founders of YWAM, Loren and Darlene Cunningham. it's so cool to hear personally from the founders of this worldwide, amazing organization! they will be here all week speaking to us. and United Pursuit is here.. aaamazing band! so blessed to have them with us! and it's so great cause they play in the mornings then we hear a little from Dar or Loren then they keep playing a song or two throughout the lecture hour(s). love that. man, worship is just so great. it's a way i really feel real and connected with Jesus. Lord, thank You for creating worship and music as a way to praise You!

and this past weekend we got to be a part of the World Championship Ironman race! it was SO cool. really fun opportunity. then tonight all the volunteers were invited to a Mahalo (Thank You) party! freaking amazing food! thank youuuuu, kona!

speaking of Kona, I LOVE IT HERE! it's beautiful. and friendly. and just so great! last night a friend and i watched the sunset on the beach and it was one of the most beautiful sunsets i've ever seen. ever. it was one of those sunsets you see in magazines or on post cards that you never think are actually real. in case you are still wondering.. they're real. and so great! : ) i wish every single one of my friends and family got to be here with me. and experience another part of God's beauty!

here are some pictures of the past couple weeks here!
